Our Values

MBM Contracting was built on a foundation of basic core values which we hold in the highest regard. These include:

MBM is committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees, subcontractors, and the public. We work every day to ensure safe practices and procedures at all times. As a result, MBM has an exceptional safety record consistently maintaining an EMR below one. We develop a job specific safety plan for every project and require routine site inspections by our Safety Officer. Eight hour mandatory safety meetings are held annually for all MBM employees to ensure current training and changing requirements.

MBM utilizes many types of technology to assure top quality and the most comprehensive support services available. Below are some of the software tools we use to assist us in project delivery:

  • On-Screen Takeoff
  • ProEst Construction Estimating Software
  • ComputerEase Accounting
  • Primavera P6 Scheduling
  • Microsoft Project
  • Autodesk AutoCad
  • Autodesk Revit
  • Autodesk Navisworks

We understand the importance of sustainability requirements during both the design and construction phases of a project. We have experience working with owners, architects, and engineers to complete the necessary documentation and submission in order to accomplish LEED goals.

Our History

1988 1988 In 1988, MBM’s first office was started in a single room in the basement of a hair salon located on West Liberty Avenue. MBM’s first job was installing doors for $560. MBM’s first “large” contract was to renovate an Isaly’s in New Kensington for $15,000. 1990 1990 In 1990, MBM grew and moved into a vacant Masonic Temple in Homestead. We slowly renovated several floors of the building and later that year were able to move our offices, initially to the first floor and then to the second floor and conducted business there for 14 years. 2004 2004 In 2004, MBM renovated a dilapidated metal building in Baldwin Borough, constructed an addition for offices and warehouse storage, and moved our offices once again. MBM continues to renovate and expand within the Baldwin location.
