About The Project
Demolition of the pedestrian bridge began in February with several months of planning and coordination to develop the new steel package. Construction of the new bridge started with a controlled demolition of the existing structure in order to procure elevations and layout for the new structure. Steel procurement was a task however the main structure arrived which signaled the beginning of install followed by carefully planned installs of the concrete, handrails, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and traffic coating systems. The project concluded mid October 2021. To protect students and staff, safety fencing and protective barriers were installed and monitored through the duration of the project.
