Indiana Regional Medical Center Behavioral Health Building

MBM Contracting was selected as the Construction Manager to build a state of the art 30,000 SF behavioral health hospital for IRMC. This hospital has the capacity for up to 44 adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Before the construction process started, security and door hardware were reviewed with the design team, owner and contractor, ensuring that the owner is receiving a product that tends to their needs. Once construction began, the project team coordinated closely with the hospital to manage site access, phasing, and safety protocols. The facility was construct­ed with specialized MEP installation methods to meet the unique requirements of behavioral health care. Anti-ligature plumbing fixtures, tamper-resistant lighting, and secure patient room fea­tures were installed with precision to ensure safety without com­promising comfort. Special attention was given to areas such as patient rooms, group therapy spaces, and nurse stations, where seamless coordination between trades was critical to deliver fully integrated safety and security systems.
